What cookies are

To improve navigation and usability, this Site may place a small amount of information on your device in the form of text files called “cookies”, stored by your browser. Cookies help the Site work more effectively and enable certain features.

Cookies and similar technologies we use

On the public Symios Site we currently use:

• symios_home_lang — a first-party cookie that stores your language preference (English, Italian or Spanish) for about one year, so the Site can open in the language you chose;
• symios_home_theme — a preference stored in your browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) for light or dark appearance;
• technical / session cookies that the web server or framework may set as needed to deliver the Site securely (for example CSRF protection on forms).

These technologies are used to operate the Site and remember preferences. We do not use them to show targeted advertising on the Site.

What we do not use

This Site does not currently use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), advertising or ad-serving cookies, or social plugin cookies that track browsing for marketing.

The Site may load resources from third-party domains that help deliver content (for example fonts). Those providers may process technical connection data under their own policies; we do not embed marketing trackers through them as described here.

Cookie duration

Some cookies (session cookies) last only until you close the browser. Others are persistent and remain available on later visits. Persistent cookies have a lifetime set when they are created — for example, the language cookie is set for approximately one year.

How to disable cookies in your browser

You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings. Refer to your browser’s help pages for instructions (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and others). Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the Site work, including language preference.

Third-party websites

The Site may contain links to other websites (for example LinkedIn). Those sites have their own privacy and cookie notices, which may differ from ours. Symios is not responsible for third-party sites.

Disabling third-party cookies in your browser does not prevent normal use of the Symios pages described in this Policy, because we do not rely on third-party marketing cookies on the Site.
