Terms of Service

The Service

Symios helps organisations measure and understand how brands appear in generative AI answers (Generative Engine Optimization). Features may include dashboards, analytics (for example Presence, Life, Gravity, Scout, and Market), query sets and runs, Integration APIs, and connectors that expose read-only analytics to host products such as ChatGPT.

We may improve, change, or discontinue features. We will try to avoid material disruption where reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Accounts, access, and credentials

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and Integration credentials (API keys/secrets and OAuth authorizations).

• Do not share secrets in chat prompts or public channels.
• Disable or rotate credentials if you suspect misuse.
• Disconnect host connectors (for example ChatGPT) when access is no longer needed.

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account for the Service.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site and Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms and our policies. You must not:

• attempt unauthorized access, disrupt, or overload the Service;
• reverse engineer or scrape the Service except as allowed by mandatory law or a written Integration agreement;
• use the Service to violate others’ rights, privacy, or applicable law;
• misrepresent affiliation with Symios or OpenAI, or imply endorsement by either;
• resell or sublicense the Service without our prior written consent.

Customer data and privacy

Analytics and workspace data you process through Symios remain associated with your company account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data on the Site and via connectors. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies on the Site.

When you connect a host (for example ChatGPT), tool responses for your connected company account are returned to that host to fulfil your requests, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and fees

Paid plans, if any, are agreed separately (order form, dashboard checkout, or written agreement). Host plugins such as the ChatGPT Directory listing do not sell Symios subscriptions or process payments inside the host; you sign in to an existing Symios account to use included features.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Intellectual property

Symios, the Site, the Service, documentation, trademarks, and related materials are owned by Symios or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription solely for your internal business purposes.

You retain rights in your brand materials and content you submit. You grant us a licence to host and process that content as needed to provide the Service.

Third-party services

The Service may interoperate with third parties (for example AI hosts, identity providers, or infrastructure). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their products. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Disclaimers

Analytics and AI-related metrics are estimates based on available measurements and models. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice, and they may not reflect every AI product or region.

THE SITE AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Symios and Bitdrome Srl are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from these Terms or use of the Site or Service.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period (or, if none, one hundred euro), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (for example death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure via info@symios.ai. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, security risk, non-payment, or legal requirements. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) continue after termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change, and material updates may be highlighted on the Site. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.
